HOW TO READ THE SCOREBOARD
- 4 points – mount, back grab
- 3 points – passing the guard
- 2 points – take downs, sweeps and knee on the belly
- -1, -2… – penalties
- 1, 2, 3… – advantages

The referee looks first for the points first, then the advantages second and the penalties third. This is the order used to interpret the scoreboard. In the case of a tie, the referee will choose the winner. Official Places for Patches

**No patches may be placed within the first 15cm (approx. 6in) of the pant leg, front and back. Patches placed on the back of the pant legs may be no wider than 10cm (approx. 4.25in)**
