AZ Black Belts shine at the 2012 Worlds Masters & Seniors

“Megaton” 1st place

The 2012 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship took place in Long Beach, California on October 7th, and the Arizona Black Belts had a great day. The AZSBJJF President, Wellington “Megaton” Dias, took silver at the Senior 3/Feather, but took gold at Open Class division, bringing two medals back to AZ. Gustavo Dantas, Vice-President of the AZSBJJF, took first place at the Senior 1/Feather division. Arthur Ruff and Greg Holmes respectively secured a bronze medal at the very first edition of the World Championship for Master & Seniors at the Senior 1/Super Heavy and Senior 3/Middle weight, and Carlos Farias secured two bronze medals, Senior 1/Ultra and Senior 1/Open Class.
