The U.S. No-Gi Nationals took place in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 26th. The AZSBJJF was well represented by competitors from GD Jiu-Jitsu/Nova Uniao, Team Megaton, BJJ Revolution and Strong Heart Academy who brought back to Arizona a total 11 medals. Team GD Jiu-Jitsu/Nova Uniao took 3rd place overall! Check out the results:

The U.S. BJJ Nationals took place in Carson, California on September 12 and 13. The AZSBJJF Schools had a total of 39 medals!
The Standout for the State of Arizona was Sarah Black (GD Jiu-Jitsu/Nova Uniao), who won her weight class, and the open division. Sarah had 6 matches, winning 5 by submission. The AZSBJJF President, Wellington “Megaton” Dias, took 3rd place in the Black Belt/Adult/Feather Division, and his daughter Mackenzie Dern won the Blue Belt/Feather/Female.
